Dementia Anti Stigma Campaign – New Assets Available
We are delighted to share new social, video and workforce campaign resources as part of the Rethink Dementia campaign.
Thank you to those who have supported and shared the latest phase of the Rethink Dementia campaign which launched at the beginning of February.
A Focus on the General Workforce
Whether someone works in healthcare or retail, social care or public transport, there are little things everyone can do to help someone with dementia feel welcome and supported. The Rethink Dementia Workforce Resources have been created to help inform and empower employees:
- A useful Tips Poster and Leaflet for staff rooms or follow up to training. Downloadable poster and Free print request service available.
- Case Study Film - Irene is living with dementia and shares her top tips from a lived experience perspective.
More information can be found at How the workforce can support people with dementia | NHS inform
Dementia Friendly Organisations
Two organisations share how they have adapted their product and service to ensure they are dementia friendly. Could some of these ideas be applied to your organisation?
Additional campaign content
We are delighted to share these fantastic New Rethink Dementia Social Films which you are welcome to share across your social channels. These films feature:
- Carol Topper talking about life living with dementia - “I live a wonderful life with dementia”.
- Sally Magnusson, Founder of Playlist for Life, highlighting the power of music.
- Carol Topper and Abigail Thomson (Ambassadors for Playlist for Life) talking about the importance of social interaction.
