Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week 2024 is here!

Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week launched today and is running until Sunday 6 October. This year has kicked off with a campaign film of women and girls telling us who inspired them to get active and why they enjoy staying active. The film also features Jasmin Paris MBE who earlier this year became the first women to successfully complete the Barkley marathons.

This year we are encouraging all women and girls to lead the way by providing opportunities to celebrate the many ways they can be leaders. We want every woman and girl in Scotland to feel inspired to get active, and it remains a great opportunity for you to showcase what you / your organisation are already doing, and shine a light on those leaders who inspire women and girls to take part and get active.

Campaign Social Media Film Launch

We would really appreciate your support with this by sharing the film across your audiences via Active Scotland’s X. Alternatively, you can post the campaign film directly from your channels using the film and accompanying copy found via the SG Campaign Resource Centre here or share via YouTube below:

Campaign Materials

A reminder that you can easily support by sharing some of the campaign materials with your audiences:

  • Re-share content from Active Scotland's X page throughout the Week
  • Include #SheCanSheWill and #LetsMoveTogether when posting about the campaign
  • Use the ‘Lets Move Together' Instagram sticker to show your participation (available w/c 30 September)
  • Share the social statics and accompanying copy across your channels
  • Print and display the posters in visible areas and locations with high footfall
  • Share the campaign messaging and editorial (found in the toolkit) newsletters, websites, social channels, intranets and more
  • Circulate the WhatsApp copy (found in the toolkit) across your communities, clubs and organisations
