Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week – films to share
A reminder that it’s Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week and this year we are encouraging all women and girls to celebrate the many ways they can lead the way in sports. We want every woman and girl in Scotland to feel inspired to get active. To help achieve this, we encourage you and your organisation to shine a light on those leaders who inspire women and girls to take part and get active.
There are many ways you can support this campaign and you can find information and resources within the toolkit via the Marketing Resource Centre here.
There are also two films on social media which you can re-share to your channels to help inspire women and girls across the country to get involved.
Caroline Weir film
Scotland International Footballer, Caroline Weir, highlights the benefits that sport and physical activity bring to physical, mental and social health in a short film, to motive more women and girls to get active. Please ‘like’ and re-share from the Scottish Government X here.
Hero film featuring Jasmin Paris MBE
In addition, we also have a campaign film featuring women and girls telling us who inspired them to get active and why they enjoy staying active. This features Jasmin Paris MBE who earlier this year became the first women to successfully complete the Barkley marathons. It would great if you could also ‘like’ and re-share this film to your social channels from Active Scotland X here.
We hope you enjoy celebrating Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week this year and thank you for all of your support.
