Scotland's Climate Week 2024 – Social Content Plan and Stories for Change

The countdown to Scotland's Climate Week 2024 is on! So that you’re prepared for the launch on Monday 23 September, we wanted to highlight our content calendar and provide some story ideas to help you plan your activity for the week.

For more information and ideas on how to get involved, please refer to our Climate Week 2024 toolkit.

Social Content Planner

The Scottish Government’s Climate Week social content plan can be used to help you coordinate re-sharing of our content directly from the SG Net Zero channels, or to inspire you to create your own content.

This content plan may be tweaked slightly over the coming weeks, however an updated version will always be readily available to download from the SG Campaign Resource Centre here.

Stories for Change

As you’re aware, this years’ Climate Week is a chance to celebrate and encourage climate action, and to learn more about tackling climate change by sharing “Stories for Change”. Using the power of storytelling we can showcase climate initiatives, highlight the benefits it can bring, and inspire more people to take climate action.

Included below are some ideas on what to you could include in your climate action story:

  • Inspirational stories - highlight initiatives or projects that are making a difference in combating climate change
  • Facts and data - share compelling statistics or research findings from your organisation or field of work
  • Personal insights - reflect on what climate change means to you and your community
