Menopause Awareness Month - October 2026

This October marks Menopause Awareness Month, with World Menopause Day falling on Sunday 18 October.

This is a valuable opportunity to open up conversations about the menopause and shine a light on its symptoms, including those that are less well known.

To support this, we've developed a range of campaign assets designed to help women feel more informed and prepared as they approach menopause. These materials draw attention to the fact that no two experiences of menopause are the same, and that symptoms and support needs vary from woman to woman. All activity directs people towards trusted information on NHS Inform’s Women’s Health Platform

New Menopause Films

As part of this year's campaign, we've produced two new films featuring expert insight into key areas of the menopause journey:

  • Dr Becky Howie explores perimenopause, explaining what it is, why it happens, and practical ways to manage this transition.
  • Dr Heather Currie MBE discusses HRT, covering the different types available and the risks and benefits involved, to help women feel supported in making the right choice for them.

We'd love your help getting these messages out into the world, both during Menopause Awareness Month and beyond. By sharing this content as widely as possible, we can work together to normalise conversations about menopause and give women the confidence to navigate this stage of life.
