Scotland's Climate Week 2026: Resources and Opportunities to Get Involved
Scotland's Climate Week (28 September to 4 October) is an opportunity to celebrate progress towards Scotland's climate and sustainability goals, highlight success stories, and showcase the positive action taking place in communities, organisations and businesses across the country.
To help support activity during the week, we've created a suite of social media assets and suggested copy that stakeholders can use across their channels. Check out what’s available at the SG Communications Resource Centre here.
How your organisation can get involved
- Share your climate and sustainability activities, achievements and success stories to help showcase positive action taking place across Scotland.
- Promote local events and initiatives happening within your organisation, community or local area during Climate Week.
- Use the Scotland's Climate Week social media assets, messaging and content calendar to support your communications across your channels.
- Follow our Facebook page for the latest Scotland's Climate Week content and updates, and share relevant posts across your organisation's social media and communications channels using #ScotClimateWeek.
Climate Action Hub events
Climate Action Hubs across Scotland will once again be hosting a range of events during Climate Week, offering opportunities for people to learn more, connect with others and take part in local climate action.
Highlights include:
- East Lothian Climate Action Network Climate Week, featuring a National Emergency Briefing screening and community climate strategy event in East Lothian.
- Climate Week North East 2026, with more than 90 events taking place across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
- Outer Hebrides Climate Week, running throughout Scotland's Climate Week.
- A range of additional events hosted by Climate Action Hubs across the Highlands & Islands, Edinburgh, Renfrewshire, Scottish Borders, West Lothian and East Dunbartonshire.
