Net Zero Partner Update: World Environment Day 5th June and More

We're excited to share the focus for Net Zero Scotland’s social media channels for May to June and details of how your organisation can get involved!

As daylight stretches and nature reawakens, this season offers a powerful opportunity to reconnect with the environment and reflect on the impact of everyday choices.

Over the coming months, our social media activity will share inspiring stories and practical tips that connect actions to community-wide benefits from cutting transport emissions to embracing seasonal moments that bring us closer to nature.

This is your opportunity to showcase your organisation’s journey toward net zero, build brand awareness, and engage with a growing network of individuals and organisations taking action for a healthier future.

We’ll also be championing World Environment Day on 5th June, aligned with this year’s theme, #BeatPlasticPollution and Clean Air Day on 19th June. We encourage you to use these moments to highlight the work your organisation is doing to cut plastic waste and protect biodiversity and the air we breathe. Together, we can inspire meaningful, lasting change and improve the air and land we all share.

World Environment Day-3

Here's How You Can Get Involved

  1. Reshare our nature-based posts which resonate well with our audiences, on FacebookLinkedInX and Instagram  and encourage collective action. Our social media content calendar is available on the SG Marketing Resource Centre so you can plan ahead.
  2. Post about World Environment Day on 5th June and Clean Air Day on 19th June using our social media assets and suggested copy. Previous results show that World Environment Day is one of the best moments to reach a wide audience across Scotland. Please refer to our guidelines.
  3. Inspire others to take action by sharing our key messages, facts and stats across your newsletters, intranets, social channels, and more—help grow the movement for climate action across Scotland by sharing your stories too.
  4. Use our campaign hashtag #LetsDoNetZero to amplify your message and connect with like-minded individuals and organisations.
  5. Get in touch with us to share your stories and case studies about how your organisation is promoting active travel, protecting or enjoying nature and supporting World Environment Day and Clean Air Day 2025.
