Scotland’s Climate Week: Social Media Calendar & Local Events Updates

Scotland’s Climate Week (29 September – 5 October) is a chance to spotlight local climate action and inspire collective change. This year, we’re encouraging partners to use our refreshed social media calendar and resources to amplify their efforts. refreshed social media calendar and resources.

We’ve also added new materials to support children and young people’s engagement with climate action. Below, you’ll also find details of local events hosted by Climate Action Hubs across Scotland.

Why Climate Week Matters

Climate Week demonstrates that collective action creates meaningful change—protecting our planet while delivering benefits for Scotland's people through new jobs, reduced energy bills, stronger communities, and improved wellbeing.

As Cabinet Secretary Gillian Martin said: "Even small actions can add up to create meaningful change… By working together to protect Scotland's future we can be more resilient, seize the opportunities tackling the climate crisis brings and future proof Scotland for generations to come."

Engaging Children and Young People

Scotland’s Climate Week is a great opportunity to involve children and young people, who are increasingly concerned about climate change and eager to take action. A dedicated resource hub on Net Zero Nation offers age-appropriate materials, activities, and guidance to help them engage positively and constructively. It also supports parents and educators in empowering young people to take climate action.
