Food Waste Campaign Launch

This week we have launched the Scottish Government Food Waste Campaign in partnership with Zero Waste Scotland.

The Food Waste Campaign is in line with The Scottish Government’s aim to reduce the amount of food waste going to landfill, and the campaign aims to:

  • Increase the number of Scottish households proactively recycling their food waste
  • Encourage more Scottish households to proactively reduce their food waste
  • Increase the awareness of the environmental and personal benefits of reducing and recycling food waste
  • Demonstrate the magnitude of Food Waste send to landfill and its role in climate change
  • To direct people to netzeronation.scot for tips on reducing and recycling food waste

The Food Waste campaign is currently running on TV (VOD), digital and Social Media and PR.

How You Can Help

  • Please share the campaign assets with your audiences, and via your social media channels
  • You can support the campaign by showing static social assets with supporting texts
  • Please include editorial copy within your newsletters or on your website
  • If you don’t already, please follow our Net Zero Scotland SG channels across FacebookTwitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
